Time Magazine has announced their picks for the Best Inventions of 2007 and the winner is... the Apple iPhone? Yes the iPhone is pretty cool and everybody wants one but should we not be celebrating inventions that can improve and heal the planet or make it a safer place to live? Sure the iPhone deserves to be on the list but at number one? Decide for yourself by checking out a list of the winners in each category.

The magazine now on newstands shares the best designs in many categories including autos, robots, environment, computers and many more. Some have already been accepted and used by the masses and hopefully others will be quickly adopted to better our lives and the environment around us.
